Thanks President Judd

Hey everybody! Hope your weeks were sweet and that everything is going well. I saw a rainbow this week! First one I have seen in Ghana, I was starting to think the floods were coming. World cup is in full swing and sometimes it makes meeting with people pretty tough but we have a good time anyways. Sleeping during the world cup is fun too since you can hear the cheers from anywhere.

Well Nana Ama's baptism fell through again. Her phone got stolen, tried calling her a million times and then got a spam message from some random person and a pocket dial from like a funeral or something (based of the music in the background). Pretty sad day, we were so excited for her. She is really one of my best friends in Ghana and it just... ahhh man!! So were praying for her and hoping that we can find her again. She is still in Peki for another 2 months and we don't know which day she may be home for.

Divine is doing good though, he traveled for the weekend to East Legon but we had a sweet lesson as we discussed baptism. He told us he went to the library one day and read. Found out he read like the first 17 chapters of the Book of Mormon!!! we asked him how he felt compared to when he is watching the Jewish guy on t.v. He told us how he feels 'fired up and aggressive when watching the Jewish 'pastor'". That when he was reading he felt 'very good, it was very peaceful!' Man it has been a slow sunrise with him but I think the dawn is starting to break with him.

Dropped a lot of other people but had a pretty interesting new investigator. Her name is Danielle and she called us over on monday night. We were walking past this place I have walked by maybe 500 times. We hear 'White People!! Come here!!' we walk over and meet a.... white girl from Florida! Decided we would go back and teach her since this may be her only possibility of accepting the missionaries in. She is here for about a month working at a local hospital. Accidentally got assigned to urology when she wanted neurology hahaha.. you can imagine how that is going.

The first lesson my heart was racing as we walked over... 'how can we teach a white girl??!' The lesson went pretty good though and we were able to do a decent job, kept saying weird ghanaian stuff, didn't realize how used to teaching with an accent I was. Hard to go back. She accepted the Book of Mormon and to read and pray. She has been keeping all her commitments and even came to church with us on Sunday! Sunday was kinda a weird sacrament, sometimes that is just how it is in Ghana. Hope she focused on the Spirit and not some of the semi-not 100 percent correct doctrine hahaha. So yep teaching an American right now.. wish us luck!! 

President Judd is leaving the mission this week. He and his wife's three year journey is up. President and Sister Hied take over by Monday. They have been such a blessing to the mission and so many wonderful changes have happened because they were in charge. Some of the key points in my mission came with a 5 minute discussion with President Judd. I truly am grateful for this man and his wife. They have changed my life. Like the Wizard of Oz haha we never get to see him much but you feel like he has a knowledge of everything going on. Really going to miss them. Some of the greatest people alive are President and Sister Judd. He may go to teach again at BYU so hopefully this isn't the last time I'll be seeing him.

Well I love you all and hope the week is awesome! Were just down here working hard and doing what we can. I know the Gospel we have is true and it is beautiful. Hard to imagine something better that you could do than give someone the opportunity to have it. Hard to imagine something better you could feel than the Spirit. Jesus Christ Lives and is with us, so be with Him.
